1988 - 1993 Degree in biochemistry at the University of Hannover.
1993 Diploma at the Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysikalische Chemie, Göttingen, in the field of keratin-cytoskeleton. PhD from the Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysikalische Chemie, Göttingen, on the subject of „Interaction between cytokeratins and identification of a new human coiled-coil protein”.

Legal qualifications and experience

1998 - 2002 Trained as German Patent Attorney at a long-established patent law firm in Munich.
2002 Authorisation as German and European Patent Attorney.

Dr. Jörg Schnabel specialises in obtaining, enforcing and defending protective rights in the are of life sciences, in particular: biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceutical and biophysical chemistry and nano and membrane technology. Other specialisations include licensing, innovation transfer, due-diligences and evaluation in international trade mark development.
